Outlayer Labs Sovereign Computing & Zero-Telemetry Standards
// 01. INTRODUCTION & PHILOSOPHY
Outlayer Labs ("we", "us", or "our") is an applied software and systems engineering laboratory. We design, compile, and distribute sovereign software utilities, audio DSP instruments, and productivity tools for mobile and desktop platforms.
We believe user privacy is an inviolable architectural law. Our applications are architected to operate with 100% on-device compute, zero external telemetry egress, zero advertising networks, and zero account registration requirements.
// 02. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
When you install and use any Outlayer Labs application (such as Barcode Plus, Decibel, Odometer Plus, Study Timer Pro, Photo Resizer Pro, Pocket Synth, Zen Tally, Invoice Maker Pro, or GardenLog), we do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials.
- Device identifiers (IMEI, MAC address, Advertising ID, or hardware fingerprints).
- Camera images, barcode contents, video frames, or audio recordings.
- GPS location coordinates, velocity logs, or route histories.
- Document contents, PDF invoice entries, plant care logs, or tally counts.
- Crash telemetry, heatmaps, or third-party behavioral analytics.
// 03. HARDWARE PERMISSIONS AUDIT
Our software requests only the minimum hardware permissions necessary for local physical calculations. All sensor data is processed in volatile memory (RAM) and immediately purged:
Used by Barcode Plus to decode 1D/2D optical barcodes in temporary frame buffers, and by GardenLog to attach optional plant photos locally. Zero camera frames are recorded or transmitted online.
Used by Decibel solely to sample acoustic pressure and calculate Root-Mean-Square (RMS) sound pressure levels. Audio buffers are converted to mathematical numbers in volatile RAM and immediately discarded.
Used by Odometer Plus exclusively to calculate real-time ground speed and trip mileage using on-device Kalman filters. Coordinates never leave physical hardware.
